Brunswick, ME – Baseball opened up their 2025 season in a doubleheader against the Bowdoin College Polar Bears on Saturday, March 1
st, 2025. The final scores were 2-9 and 1-6.

How it Happened:
Game 1
- The Terriers started off well, with Hayden Dippner bringing home Elijah Morton to give them a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
- The Polar Bears tied things up in the bottom of the first, but the Terriers looked to bounce back in the second.
- Patrick Temby would eventually advance to third, but a fly out to end the half inning would keep things tied.
- The Polar Bears added one run in the second, but then came alive in the fouth, scoring four to make it 6-1.
- The Terriers wouldn't score again until the top of the seventh inning, thanks to a Matt Seymour RBI that scored Javier Diaz to make it 2-9.
- Despite the good start, the Terriers couldn't capitalize in important moments against a talented Bowdoin squad.

Game 2
- The Terriers came out with a lot of contact to open up game two, but unlucky placement saw several ground outs.
- By the bottom of the second inning the Polar Bears had taken a 3-0 lead, and there was a glimmer of hope by the fourth inning.
- A big double from Dippner followed by Cagnina and Tony Meza both advancing the runner on second saw the Terriers score to make it 1-3.
- The Polar Bears would respond with a run of their own in the bottom of the fourth and never looked back.
- The Polar Bears added two runs in the fifth inning and went on to win game two of the doubleheader 6-1.
