Waterville, ME – Women's Volleyball battled through five sets to earn a thrilling 3–2 victory over Vermont State University–Johnson in North Atlantic Conference play on Friday, October 17th, 2025, inside Larry Mahaney Gymnasium. The team also celebrated their senior day, honoring graduating student-athletes Zainab Albraihi, Kenzie Bills, and Marissa Cates.

 

How It Happened: 

• The Terriers came out strong in the opening set, taking a 26–24 win behind key kills from Bills and Lindsay Pool. 

• Camille Gibson and Ana Romero made several key digs to keep rallies alive as Thomas closed out the tight first frame. 

• VTSU-Johnson responded in the second set, using strong hitting from several players to even the match with a 25–21 win. 

• In the third, Thomas regained momentum behind Brooklyn Barbeau's consistent setting and smart offensive plays from Pool and Bills, earning another 25–21 victory. 

• The Badgers fought back in the fourth, edging out a 25–22 set win to force a deciding fifth set.

• In the fifth set, Thomas took control early with strong serves from Addison Lebel and key blocks from Cates.

• The Terriers held off a late VTSU-Johnson push to win the set 15–11 and claim the match victory. 

• The win improves Thomas to 4–12 overall and 3–2 in NAC play.
