Fort Kent, ME – Despite a comeback bid, Men's Basketball fell to the University of Maine Fort Kent Bengals by a score of 71-82 on Saturday, January 25^th, 2025. Luke Briggs led the Terriers with 20 points in 24 minutes.

How it Happened:

• Both teams traded points in the first five minutes, with four different Terriers scoring to make it 9-9.
• Five minutes into the first half the Bengals went on a 10-0 run to put them up 19-9.
• Luke Briggs would connect on two free throws, but the Bengals continued to score until they were up 29-11.
• The Terriers responded with six points of their own, with Camryn Yorke, Briggs, and Finn Parmley all scoring.
•  With three minutes left in the first half the Bengals found themselves up 40-26 despite baskets from Briggs, Ruelke, and Yorke.
• The Terriers went on a 6-2 run at the end of the first half thanks to Briggs and Parker Desjdarins.
• The Terriers started the second half matching all the points from the Bengals and found themselves down 42-55 four minutes in.
• Seven minutes into the second half the Terriers went on a 7-2 run with points coming from Loki Anda, Jacob Bouchard, and Yorke.
• The Terriers went on another run three minutes later to make it 58-64 with 10 minutes remaining.
• Six straight points after two three pointers from Desjardins and Ruelke tied things at 66-66 with four minutes to play.
• The Bengals were then able to go on a scoring run and hit the necessary free throws to hang on and hand the Terriers an 82-71 loss.
