Box Score 2 Waterville, ME – Women's Volleyball traveled to Colby College to compete in a tri-match that featured the University of Maine Fort Kent Bengals and the Colby College Mules. The Terriers earned their first win as a reinstated program against the Bengals but fell later that afternoon to the Mules on Saturday, September 28
th, 2024.

How it Happened:
Match One – University of Maine Fort Kent
- The Terriers dominated to begin the first set, jumping out to a huge 17-5 lead thanks to three kills from Einy Mendez and multiple attack errors from the Bengals.
- The Bengals would go on a 7-3 run late in the first set, but it wasn't enough as the Terriers took it 25-13.
- Both teams traded points to begin the second set, but a 5-0 and 5-1 runs from the Bengals allowed them to squeeze by the Terriers to make it 1-1.
- The Terriers once again dominated in the third set, eventually making it 17-4 from some excellent team setups.
- The Bengals would gain ground at the end of the set, but it ended 25-15 as the Terriers took a 2-1 match lead.
- The Terriers jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the third set, but the Bengals were able to battle back and eventually besting the Terriers to force a fifth set, 25-22.
- Despite the circumstances, the Terriers stayed focused, taking an 8-4 lead as a result of multiple kills from Mendez and MJ Rose.
- A service error from the Bengals gave the Terriers their 15th point in the fifth set, and their first win as a reinstated program.

Match Two – Colby College
- In the first play of the match Rose and Jordan Child had a huge block to take a lead over the Mules.
- The Mules jumped out to a huge 17-7 lead in the first set, but the Terriers were able to earn a few points back.
- The Mules took set one by a score of 25-11, despite some positive moments.
- The second set went similarly to the first, with the Mules eventually besting the Terriers 25-10.
- The third set was much more positive from the Terriers, despite the overall match score.
- With the score at 15-23 in favor of the Mules, multiple attack errors and a kill from Marissa Cates made things interesting at 21-23.
- The Mules eventually scored the last two points of the set, earning a 3-0 match victory over the Terriers.
