Waterville, ME – Field Hockey fell to Colby College at home by a score of 1-5 on Sunday, September 15
th, 2024.

How it Happened:
- The Mules started off the game strong, forcing three saves out of Terriers goalkeeper Elise Syphers in the first two minutes.
- Five minutes in the Terriers had their first real chance, as a shot from Callie Moran was saved by the Mules goalkeeper.
- The Mules struck first 10 minutes in, taking a 1-0 lead after a penalty stroke.
- The Mules followed up by scoring a goal two minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into the second quarter.
- Despite the Terriers best efforts the Mules scored again to open the second quarter, taking a 3-0 lead.
- The Mules would eventually make it to halftime with a 4-0 lead.
- The Terriers opened up the second half well, as a penalty corner led to a saved shot from Julia Reny.
- The Terriers defense held strong in the third quarter, not allowing any goals.
- The Mules scored from a penalty corner early in the fourth quarter, but the Terriers were able to rebound and generate a handful of penalty corners of their own.
- This eventually led to a goal from Reny with nine minutes left on the clock.
- Mackenzie Toner came up with multiple big saves in the final few minutes, but the Mules walked away with a 5-1 win.
