Waterville, ME – Thomas College Softball celebrated their senior,
Maddie Rock, in a doubleheader vs NAC opponent Husson University. The Terriers lost game one 0-7 and dropped game two 1-6 to the Eagles.
The Records:
Thomas College: Overall (7-19), NAC (5-5)
Husson University: Overall (24-4), NAC (10-0)
How it Happened:
Game 1
- The Eagles got on the board right away after three back-to-back singles earning one run at the top of the first.
- In the second inning Husson added two more runs due to two Thomas errors.
- After the Eagles added another run in the top of the third to make it 4-0, Thomas found themselves with their first runner in scoring position but were unable to bring her in.
- It wasn't until the fifth inning that Husson added two more runs of three hits and one Thomas error to make the score 6-0.
- Singles from Jennie Whitten and Kayla Duhaime put two Thomas runners on the bases with one out, but no runs came in.
- The final Husson run was scored in the sixth inning making the final score 7-0 Husson.
Inside the Stats:
- Addy Boyce pitched five innings for the Terriers only allowing two earned runs out of six, she also struck out one batter.
- Brooklyn Federico pitched the final two innings giving up one hit and one run. She struck out one batter.
Game 2
- The Eagles but the first two runs on the board in the second inning after three singles.
- A single run was scored after solo home run was hit by Husson's K. Dore.
- Three more runs were scored by the Eagles in the fifth inning, bringing the score to 6-0 Husson.
- The Terriers scored their solo run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Maddie Rock started off with a single up the middle to start the Terriers rally. Oberholzer then moved pinch runner Rileigh Fortin to third. Whitten then hit the RBI bringing in Fortin earning the Terriers only run for the day.
Inside the Stats:
- Whitten pitched the full seven innings for the Terriers, striking out three batters and only walking one.

The Terriers wrap up their regular season play with a doubleheader against the University of Maine at Farmington at 12 and 2pm in Farmington, Maine.
