Terriers Take Another Win on the Road Against the Huskies

PORTLAND, Maine –– The Terriers took on the University of Southern Maine Huskies on April 19th. The day concluded with an overall score of 7-2 in favor of Thomas College. The Terriers improve to 7-2 on the season while the Huskies fall to 0-5.

Doubles:
At #1 doubles Terriers Gabe McPhail and Liam Gould took on Cole Ouellette and Zac Howe. The match ended with a score of 9-7 in favor of the Terriers.
At #2 doubles Terriers Calvin Cutler and Caleb Daigneault took on Zach Desmarais and Landon Weaver. The match would conclude in an 8-2 score in favor of Thomas College.
At #3 doubles Terriers Nick Magiera and Kegan Rodrigue were awarded the win as the Huskies had to forfeit.
 
Singles:
At #1 singles McPhail would take on Ouellette. McPhail would go the distance winning 7-6 (7-2) in a tiebreaker set. McPhail would close out strong as he would win his second set 6-3.
At #2 singles Gould took on Desmarais. Gould would ultimately come up short as he would go the distance in his three-set match losing 6-3, 0-6, 4-6.
At #3 singles Cutler would take on Howe. Cutler would drop the first set 3-6. Cutler would then bounce back winning his final two sets 6-3, 6-5 (11-9).
At #4 singles Rodrigue would take on Weaver. Rodrigue would take care of business coasting to a comfortable 6-4, 6-4 win.
At #5 singles Magiera would take on Zach Lull. Mageira would ease his way to victory winning both sets 6-0, 6-2.
At #6 singles Dagineault would win by default due to the Huskies had to forfeit.
 
What's Next:
Terrier Men's Tennis take on the Lesley in a Doubleheader on Saturday, April 20th starting at 11:00 am EST at the Beren Tennis Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
