Newton, MA – Women's Lacrosse fell short of a comeback against the Lasell University Lasers on Saturday, March 16
th, 2024. The final score was 12-15 in the Terriers third game of the season.

How it Happened:
- Both teams traded two goals apiece for the first 10 minutes of the game, as Alia Chasse and Mary LaRochelle both scored unassisted goals.
- With five minutes remaining in the first quarter the Lasers scored three unanswered goals to take a 5-2 lead.
- Chasse and Samantha Snow were both able to score in the final two minutes, but the Lasers added one more to give them a 6-4 lead going into the second quarter.
- The Lasers score two straight goals to start the second quarter, but LaRochelle was able to take advantage of a free position attempt to make it 5-8.
- Both teams were defensively solid in the second quarter, as the Lasers only managed to score two goals in the remaining 12 minutes before halftime.
- The Terriers opened up the third quarter well, creating four shots in the first five minutes.
- Sage Brown and Scarlett Raymond-Ayer both found the back of the net shortly after, but the Terriers eventually found themselves down 7-12.
- With four minutes left in the quarter Chasse and Isabella Pelletier both scored to bring the game within three goals.
- The Lasers responded with a goal at the end of the third and one less than a minute into the fourth, but Emily Wallingford was able to respond two minutes later to make it 10-14.
- Brown and Pelletier both scored to make it 12-15 with four minutes left, but the Terriers were unable to find the back of the net in the remaining time, meaning a 12-15 loss.
