Hannah Coolen and
Sky Kubwalo led the Terriers to a historic victory.
How it Happened:
- It was a rematch of one of the most exciting game this season, the Terriers hosted the Beavers in a game that had huge playoff implications.
- The game would begin with the hosts jumping out to an early lead, Sky Kubwalo would score a pair of layups, then Sam Fortin would pitch in with one of her own.
- Fortin would then keep the play alive with an offensive rebound, the ball was swung to Brooke Jones who would knock down a mid range jumper.
- Coolen and Pena would each add 2 points, the strong start would give the Terriers a 12-2 lead midway through the 1st quarter.
- UMF would respond by closing out the quarter strong, a 6-point Beaver run would close the score to 12-8 at the end of the first.
- Kubwalo would go to work to start the second quarter when she grabbed an offensive board and scored the putback.
- On the second Terrier possession Kubwalo would grab another rebound and finish with a fadeaway, she would add another layup after a brilliant post move.
- Emily Parent would hit a deep three and Fortin would add a layup, the dominant start would extend the lead 12 points.
- Both teams would trade points the rest of the way, Thomas would enter the half up 11.
- Jones and Alderman would connect on jumpers to open the second half, UMF would respond going on a run of their own.
- UMF would cut the lead to 10 before Hannah Coolen would take the game over, she would hit on a long three, and would follow up with a jumper with 5 seconds left on the clock.
- Coolen would continue her run into the 4th when she connected with another three and hit the back end of two free throws.
- UMF would go on a small run before Coolen would connect on another long three pointer.
- Fortin and Kubwalo would each add 2 points before Coolen would cap off her night with an uncontested layup after a brilliant inbound play.
- With the win the Terriers clinched their first playoff spot in over a decade.

- The Terriers went 23-57 from the field (40%) 5-13 from 3 (39%) and 6-8 from the line (75%)
- Coolen would lead all scorers with 18 points, while Kubwalo would add 15 points and 13 rebounds.
