How it Happened:
The Beavers would start the 1st half with an early 6 point lead, but Mark McDonald would score on back-to-back possessions to make it an 8-7 game early on. UMF would continue to pressure the Terriers offense, but midway through the 1st the Terriers would go on a 9-0 run, giving Thomas an 18-13 lead with 12 minutes to play in the 1st half. But the Beavers would answer right back, making a statement with a 19-0 run to give UMF a 34-20 lead late in the 1st half. UMF would continue to shut the Terriers offense down for the remainder of the 1st half and would take a 47-29 lead after 20 minutes of play. The Terriers would try to cut the deficit in the 2nd half, but UMF would ultimately control the remainder of the game, handing the Terriers an 88-65 loss. Phelan would lead the Terriers with 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists, with Parker Desjardins finishing with 13 points.
