Terrier’s Women Soccer Unable to Stop Husson Attack in 5-0 Loss

Waterville, Maine – Terrier's Women's soccer would be overwhelmed by the Husson University Eagles by a score of 5-0 in a North Atlantic Conference match on Friday, October 19th. Emily Rock would finish with a career-high 21 saves off 26 shots faced.

Husson: Overall (7-7-1), NAC (6-1-1) 

How it Happened: 

  • The Terrier's defense would open the game strong, shutting down the Eagles attack for over 40 minutes in the first half 

  • Emily Rock would make 13 huge saves in the first half, but the Eagles would find the back of the net late in the first half to give Husson a 1-0 lead at the half 

  • The Eagles would be awarded a penalty kick early in the second half and would capitalize on the opportunity, putting the Terriers down 2-0 early in the second half 

  • The Terriers would try to build offensive opportunities but were unable to get through the Eagles defense 

  • Husson would score 3 more goals in the second half and would take control the remainder of the match, handing the Terriers a 5-0 loss at home 

  • Rock would make 8 saves in the second half, finishing the night with an impressive 21 saves despite the loss

The Terrier's will host the Lesley University Lynx in a North Atlantic Conference match up on Wednesday, October 23rd. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 PM at Smith Field.
