Hallowell, ME - The Thomas College Ice Hockey team dropped a chippy matchup 1-6 against Central Maine Community College on Saturday, January 27^th, 2024. 

How it Happened: 

• The Mustangs would strike first 13 minutes into first period on an unassisted powerplay goal.
• Neither team would find the back of the net in the remaining time in the period. 
• The Terriers tied things up 10 minutes into the second period, thanks to a shorthanded goal from DJ Cagnina and an assist from Cameron Tower.
• The Mustangs quickly responded, scoring less than a minute later on a powerplay to take a 2-1 lead over the Terriers and never looked back.
• The Mustangs scored four unanswered goals in the third period to take the 6-1 victory over the Terriers.
• Both teams would combine for 24 penalties during what was a chippy matchup.
• Liam Doughty played all 60 minutes in net for the Terriers, making an impressive 56 saves.

What's Next: 

• The Terriers will look to bounce back as they travel to Worcester, Massachusetts on January 28^th to play Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
