UMF would take the lead early in the first half, but Thomas would answer back with points from Metin Yavuz and Cooper Wirkala to cut the Terriers deficit to 7 points

Mark McDonald and Wirkala would keep the Terriers offense alive midway through the 1st half, but the Beavers continued expose the Terriers defense maintaining their 24-17 lead with 6 minutes remaining

UMF would shut down the Terriers offense for the remaining 6 minutes, jumping out to a 38-25 lead at the half

But the Terriers were not finished, opening the second half with a 10-2 run to cut the Beavers lead to only 5 points with 15 minutes to play

The Terriers and Beavers would go point for point for the next few minutes, but points from Yavuz and Wirkala would tie the game at 49-49 with just under 10 minutes to play
