Box Score

Cambridge, MA - In a conference matchup at Lesley University, sophomore Elana Alderman scored a game high 18 points to lead the Terriers to an important 64-48 victory.

How it Happened:

  • Thomas started the game slow, it was the Lynx jumping out to 6-0 lead before Brooke Jones knocked down a jumper.
  • Over the next few minutes both teams looked to take control of the game, with points being hard to come by.
  • The Lynx would score next and would stretch the lead to 7, but a couple of made shots from Hannah Coolen would keep the lead from growing.
  • At the end of the first quarter the Lynx would hold a 13-7 lead.
  • The terriers would start the second quarter strong, a pair of layups from Senior Sam Fortin, a three pointer from Emily Parent and another three from Alderman cut the lead to just one.
  • Bri Benecke would get in on the action with a layup of her own and within 5 minutes the terriers had flipped the scoreboard in their favor.
  • The Terriers would look to keep the momentum and stretch the lead, but Lesley would keep pace and send the game into the half with a 28-26 score in favor of Thomas.
  • Jones got the Terriers off to a sharp start in the third quarter as she knocked down a couple of jumpers, Alderman would add a free throw before Yaribel Pena would hit a clutch three pointer, the basket extended Thomas's lead to 12 points just 4 minutes into the second half.
  • That would be all the Terriers would need as they coasted to a commanding victory
