Hartford, CT – Men's Basketball was outmatched by an undefeated Trinity College squad, 39-90 in the first day of the Trinity College Invitational on December 30
th, 2023.
Thomas College: Overall (4-7), NAC (2-1)

How it Happened:
- The Terriers scored the game's first points, thanks to a jump-shot from Jackson Ruelke.
- However, the Bantams quickly took back the lead and went on a 20-1 scoring run.
- The Terriers played better in the closing minutes of the second half, scoring seven points in the final five minutes of the first half.
- The Terriers improved in the second half. James Phelan scored 15 points in a nine-minute stretch in the second half, to help reduce the deficit.
- Cooper Wirkala and Metin Yavuz would both add three-pointers, but it wasn't enough as the Terriers fell 39-90 against an undefeated Trinty College squad.
Inside the Stats:
- The Terriers had 17 points off of their bench, and 14 points in the paint.
- Phelan led all scorers with 15 points, shooting 4/4 from the free-throw line.
- Trinity College outscored the Terriers in second chance points and points off of turnovers to help them secure the result.
