CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSSETTS – Men's Basketball dropped their first game of this weekend's doubleheader against fellow NAC opponent Lesley University on Friday, January 19th by a score of 86-68. 

How it Happened: 

• The Terriers and Lynx would back and forth in the first four minutes of play, but a 3-pointer by Cooper Wirkala and a quick layup from Metin Yavuz would give the Terriers an 11-9 lead 

• Lesley would go on a run of their own to regain the lead however Metin Yavuz would hit a 3-pointer to give the Terriers offense some life halfway through the first half 

• The Lynx would shut down the Terriers offense only allowing 7 points in the last 5 minutes of the 1st half to give the Lynx a 40-25 lead 

• The Lynx would continue to find holes in the Terriers defense in the 2nd half, and would remain in control for the remainder of the game to hand Thomas an 86-68 loss 

Inside the Statistics: 

• Troy Tinch would lead the Terriers in points scoring 13 with Wirkala and Yavuz scoring 12 and 11 points respectively 

• The Terriers would shoot 13 for 17 (77%) from the free throw line and would have 34 points off the bench 

What's Next: The Terriers will look to even the weekend series against the Lynx tomorrow at 1pm in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
