JOHNSON, VERMONT - The Thomas College Women's Tennis Team overpowered the Vermont State–Johnson Badgers by a score of 8-1 on Saturday September 23rd. The Terriers swept all doubles matches, with Seniors Lauren Smith and Riley Pierce winning 8-0 in #1 doubles. Graduate Student Renée Rossi and First Year Tracy Lopez followed Smith and Pierce with a win in #2 doubles beating their opponents 8-5, while First Year Maya Gammon and Senior Olivia Teague ended doubles play with a win defeating their opponents 8-2 in #3 doubles. 

In singles action, Smith picked up a win over her #1 singles opponent, with Pierce and Lopez following suit with wins in #2 and #3 singles. Rossi would drop the Terriers only match of the day in #4 singles losing a close one in a tiebreaker set. Gammon and Teague would end the day with wins in their #5 and #6 singles. 

What's Next: The Terriers will travel to the University of Vermont- Lyndon for a doubleheader on Sunday September 24th at 11am and 2pm.
