How it Happened:
- The Lynx wasted no time getting right to work. Within 13 minutes, Terriers' goalkeeper Emily Rock was forced to make four saves, while the Lynx had seven shots.
- In the 23rd minute, a long-range effort from the Lynx found the top left corner, giving them a 1-0 lead.
- The Terriers looked to respond and had two shots in a matter of seconds.
- Abigail Lerman's shot forced a save from Lynx goalkeeper Madison Reed. Aminah Davis-Macias followed the shot, but the effort went wide.
- The Lynx had another golden opportunity in the 33rd minute but was cleared off the line after some stellar defending.
- Rock was forced to make seven saves in the first half, only allowing one goal thus far.
- In the 51st minute, Kathryn McIntyre sent a shot toward the Lynx goal, but had it saved by Reed.
- Davis-Macias had another chance in the 66th minute, but her shot was again saved by Reed.
- The Lynx struck again in the 86th minute, sending a shot to the bottom left corner to seal the game.
- Some incredible defending from the Terriers meant there were very few clear-cut opportunities for the Lynx.
- The Terriers were ultimately unable to find the back of the net, meaning the game ended in a 0-2 loss for the Terriers.
The Goalkeepers:
Rock played the entire 90 minutes in net, making an impressive 10 saves in a huge defensive effort.
Lynx goalkeeper Reed also played the full 90 minutes, making four saves.

The Terriers will travel north to face University of Maine Presque Isle on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
