Box Score New London, New Hampshire – The Terriers started off their weekend on the road playing the Chargers in an out of conference match up and ending falling 2-1 in the final minutes of the game.
How it Happened:
- Terrier's defense was immediately pressured by the Chargers, with Junior Goalkeeper Brennan Pinto having to make three saves in the first three minutes of the game.
- A slow first quarter ended with the Terriers only able to make two shots on goal and earn one penalty corner.
- Tables turned at the start of the second quarter with Thomas taking shots, but nothing able to slip through.
- It wasn't until the final two minutes on the quarter where the Chargers got their first goal, scored off a rebound from Pinto.
- The third quarter was fully run by the Terriers with them outshooting the Charters 6-2 and earning 5 penalty corners, but still unable to find the back of the net.
- The ball finally sneaks in at the very start of the fourth quarter, Junior Julia Reny was able to finish off a rebounded ball from the Charger goalkeeper.
- Thomas then went on to have two more shots, before Colby-Sawyer put their second goal on the board in the final four minutes of the game, Final score 2-1 Colby-Sawyer.
Goalkeepers:
Pinto got the start in goal for the Terriers making eight saves. Junior
Elise Syphers entered the game at halftime, making two saves.
Colby-Sawyer Goalkeepers Carly Bernard played the full sixty minutes and made six saves.
