How it Happened:
- The Beavers were quick off the start, forcing a save out of Terriers' goalkeeper Emilee Ireland in the opening minute.
- In the 18th minute, the Beavers took a shot from the left side of the 18-yard box, which found its way into the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead over the Terriers.
- Ireland was forced to make four more saves in the half to keep the score within one.
- The Beavers had the majority of possession, with the Terriers only generating one shot in the first 45 minutes.
- In the first three minutes of the second half, Mary LaRochelle had two chances to tie the game up, but both shots were saved by Beavers' goalkeeper Paige Gonya.
- In the 81st minute, Terriers' goalkeeper Emily Rock made an incredible stop to deny the Beavers a golden opportunity in front of net, smothering the ball inside a crowd of players to prevent the chance.
- Rock needed to make two more saves in the remaining 10 minutes, and the game ended 1-0 in favor of the Beavers.
- The Beavers dominated the majority of possession and outshot the Terriers 25-3.
The Goalkeepers:
Two Terrier goalkeepers saw time in net tonight. Ireland played the first 45 minutes, making five saves. Rock played the second half, making seven saves in some important moments.
Beavers' goalkeeper Gonya played the full 90 minutes, making two saves.
