Box Score Waterville, ME - Field Hockey had a quick turn around after last night's game, playing their season home opener against Skidmore College which played out to be a close game up until the last few minutes of the fourth quarter. Solid defense and an early goal kept the score to 1-1 until the Thoroughbreds put three on the board, making the final score 4-1.

- The first fifteen minutes of the game came and went quickly with only one penalty corner by the Thoroughbreds.Â
- Just over two minutes in the second quarter Junior Julia Reny scored off the Terriers first penalty corner of the game.Â
- It was only three minutes later when Skidmore's Beth Yorns responded with a rebound goal of Brennan Pinto.Â
- Pinto finished the half making two more savesÂ
- At the start of the third quarter Reny had another opportunity to snag another goal off a penalty corner, but Skidmore's goalkeeper Victoria Bodnar made a great save putting the ball over the top net.
- The Terriers defense and Pinto had a busy third quarter with seven shots coming from the Thoroughbreds, along with a defensive save by Samantha Thebarge
- In the final quarter the Terriers had many close opportunities to get ahead but couldn't find the boards.Â
- Skidmore's second goal was scored with just under three minutes left.Â
- Shortly after two more Thoroughbred goals were scored in the final two minutes against a drained Terrier lineup.Â
