Terriers Brought Down by Vermont State University Johnson

Johnson, VT – Women's Soccer was ousted by Vermont State University Johnson, and were unable to find the back of the net. The final score was 0-2 on Saturday, September 16th, 2023.

How it Happened:  
  • The Badgers got the better of the Terriers early on, outshooting them 7-1 in the opening 30 minutes. 
  • Terriers' goalkeeper Emily Rock was called into action, making four saves during this time.
  • Terriers' midfielder Serenia Ahumada was able to generate two shots in the final 15 minutes of the first half, but neither found their target.
  • It was either team's game to win, going into halftime tied at 0-0.
  • Less than one minute after halftime, the Badgers scored to take a 1-0 lead.
  • The Badgers didn't stop there, and generate three more shots in the next seven minutes, one of which finding the back of the net to take a 2-0 lead.
  • The Terriers were able to generate two more quality shots on goal, but both were saved by Badgers goalkeeper Isabel Atkisson. 
  • The game ultimately ended 2-0, in favor of the Badgers as they outshot the Terriers, 15-8.
 
The Goalkeepers:  
Terriers' goalkeeper Rock played the entire 90 minutes, making eight saves in some important moments.
Badgers' goalkeeper Atkisson also played the full 90 minutes, making three saves. 
 
What's Next:
The Terriers will look to bounce back at home against University of Maine Farmington, on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
