CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS -The Thomas Womens Tennis team defeated the Lesley University Lynx 5-4 on Saturday September 16th. Seniors Lauren Smith and Riley Pierce kicked off the day for the Terriers in #1 Doubles but dropped the match 8-2. Sophomore's Libby Forgues and Keira Gilman followed Smith and Pierce in #2 doubles, picking up the Terriers first win of the day by a score of 8-6, while Graduate Student Renée Rossi and First Year Tracy Lopez took the final doubles win of the day in #3 doubles winning by a score of 8-5. 

In #1 Singles Smith fell 6-1, 6-1 with fellow senior Pierce also dropped her match in #2 singles 6-1, 6-2. In #3 singles, Keira Gilman fell 3-6 in the first set and fell one point short of forcing a tiebreaker losing 6-7 in the second set. Forgues, Rossi, and Lopez picked up wins in #4, #5, and #6 singles, ending the day with a win for the Terriers. 

What's Next: The Terriers will host the Eastern Nazarene College Lions on Sunday September 17th at 1PM.
