Men’s Lacrosse Drops NAC Conference Game Against SUNY Delhi

Delhi, NY – Men's Lacrosse traveled to Delhi, New York to play SUNY Delhi in a NAC Conference match up on Sunday, April 16th, which ended in the Terriers third conference loss on the season. Max Irons continued to stay an offensive force for the Terriers, scoring three of the Terriers nine goals.
 
The Records:
Thomas College: Overall (3-5), NAC (2-3)
SUNY Delhi: Overall (7-7), NAC (6-1)
 
How it Happened:
  • The Bronco's immediately got on the board within the first minute.
  • The Terriers didn't respond with a goal for themselves until ten minutes later with Irons picking up his first of the day assisted by Daniel Macwhinnie
  • Delhi then went on to add three more goals before the quarter ended, 4-1 Delhi
  • The Terriers were unable to grab a goal in the second quarter sending them into halftime down 10-1
  • Thomas came out of halftime exploding knocking their first goal within the first forty-five seconds by Timothy Worster
  • After Delhi responded Macwhinnine added his own unassisted goal five minutes into the third quarter, 11-3 Delhi
  • First Year Charlie Foster-Major scored his seventh goal of the season directly after two Delhi goals, followed by William Heywood grabbing the Terriers fifth goal of the game
  • At the start of the fourth quarter two Terrier goals were scored, first by Jack Morrill followed by Irons second goal of the game, where he was assisted by Connor Hamilton
  • The Bronco's continued to go scoreless in the fourth as the Terriers added their final two goals of the game by Heywood and Irons
 
The Goalkeepers:
Daniel Guarino started in cage for the Terriers making a total of three saves. Graduate Student Patrick Buxton came in after halftime. Buxton recorded eight saves off twelve shots on goal.
 
What is Next:
Men's Lacrosse will play their next game at Colby College on Tuesday, April 18th with a game time of 7pm.
