Men's Lacrosse Gets Conference Win Over SUNY Cobleskill

Cobleskill, NY – The Terriers took a 17-12 victory over the SUNY Cobleskill Tigers on Friday, April 14 in Cobleskill, New York as the Terriers fourth conference game of the year. This was almost an exact replica of last year's win when Thomas ended with a 16-13 victory.
 
The Records:
Thomas College: Overall (3-4), NAC (2-2)
SUNY Cobleskill: Overall (6-3), NAC (1-2)
 
How it Happened:
  • After Terrier Max Irons scored the first goal of the game, the Tigers were able to work their way up to a 2-1 lead
  • Thomas then went on a four-goal run to finish out the first quarter, one being Irons grabbing his second goal of the game, 5-2 Thomas end of first quarter
  • Irons continued his hot streak answering the two goals scored by Cobleskill with another two of his own
  • Dylan Brooks added to the score along with Timothy Worster who scored his second of the day, 9-4 Thomas
  • Before halftime Thomas was able to add one more goal scored by Daniel Macwhinnie, his second of the day as well, Halftime 10-6 Thomas
  • After going back and forth in the beginning of the third Worster put the nail in the coffin scoring three goals back-to-back all within three minutes, 14-8 Thomas
  • The gas peddle did not let up as Worster grabbed his final goal (6) of the day, along with Charlie Foster-Major and Dylan Brooks recording their second, final score 17-12 Thomas
 
The Goalkeepers:
Graduate Student Patrick Buxton played the full sixty minutes in goal for the Terriers racking up a total of fifteen saves.
 
What is Next:
The Terriers will travel to Delhi, NY to play SUNY Delhi on Sunday, April 16th at noon.
