Box Score Waterville, ME – Women's Basketball played game one against the University of Maine Presque Isle Owls on Saturday, February 4
th ending in a 73-55 loss for the Terriers.

Thomas College: Overall (3-19), NAC (2-10)
University of Maine Presque Isle: Overall (11-8), NAC (5-4)
How it Happened:
- The Terriers quickly took the lead in the game, with Hannah Coolen getting nine points in the first ten minutes
- First half ends with Thomas up, 13-8
- Thomas was able to keep the lead for the entire second quarter, but the Owls were not making it easy coming back and tying the game a few times
- Thomas went into halftime only up by one, 26-25
- The third quarter was when the Owls took control for the first time in the game
- Missed shots and turnovers from the Terriers, caused the Owls to get up by seven with a minute and a half to go
- A three by Emily Hagerty and two good free throws from Kristina Perry closed the gap to 48-44 Owls, going into the final quarter
- A lager gap grew between the Owls and Terriers, as UMPI started the fourth with an eight point run, 59-44
- Coolen continued to push herself and her team, but too big of a gap was created, giving the Owls game one win 73-55.
Inside the Numbers:
- Coolen saw her best game of her First Year season, finishing with twenty points and six rebounds
- Elena Alderman also finished in double digits for points with twelve
- Nineteen of the Terriers points came from Owl turnovers
