Box Score WATERVILLE, MAINE – The Thomas College Womens Basketball kept it competitive until the end but would fall to the Lasell University Lasers in a close game by a score of 66-58 on Monday, November 27th.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Lasers would strike first with a 3-pointer, but the Terriers would answer quickly, going on an 8-0 run with 2 three-pointers from First Year, Deja Hamilton and Graduate Student Emily Parent, and a layup from Senior Sam Fortin

The Terriers and Lasers would go back and forth for the remainder of the 1st quarter, but Thomas would take a 18-14 lead after layup off a steal from First Year Yaribel Pena, giving the Terriers a 4-point lead

Pena would continue to lead on both ends of the floor, scoring a layup early in the 2nd quarter giving the Terriers a 6-point lead

But Lasell would find holes in the Terriers defense, tying the game at 23-23 with a few minutes to go in the 2nd quarter

Hamilton would hit another three late in the quarter, but the Lasers offense continued to answer, and would tie the game 29-29 at the half

In the 2nd half, Junior Sky Kubwalo would dominate on the offensive end scoring 9 of her 11 points in the 3rd quarter for the Terriers, but the Lasers would flip the momentum late in the 3rd, and would take a 43-40 lead with one quarter to play

Back-to-Back three pointers from Parent midway through the 4th quarter would keep the Terriers in the game

But Lasell would slowly run away with the win late in the 4th after some big shots from beyond the arc and some key defensive stops, handing the Terriers their 5th loss of the season with a final score of 66-58.
