Title: Women's Soccer Dominates in 2-0 Win Over SUNY Canton
 
Waterville, ME – Women's Soccer put in a dominant performance, and came out with a 2-0 win over SUNY Canton on Saturday, October 7^th, 2023. 

Thomas College: Overall (4-7-0), NAC (2-2-0)
SUNY Canton: Overall (0-9-2) NAC (0-4-0)

How it Happened:  

• Within the first 45 seconds, the Terriers had a chance to take the lead. Abbie Lerman's shot was saved by SUNY Canton goalkeeper Emma Cahill.
• The Terriers followed up with two more shots in the next four minutes, none finding the target.
• In the 14^th minute, Aminah Davis-Macias's shot hit the crossbar, inches away from finding the back of the net.
• In the 31^st minute, Terrier goalkeeper Emilee Ireland was forced to make two saves in a two-minute span, to ensure the score was 0-0 going into halftime.
• In the 56^th minute, Davis-Macias finally found the back of the net, to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead.
• 13 Minutes later, Davis-Macias sent in a pass toward goal, and Emily Gutierrez found the finishing touch to grow the lead.
• The Terriers had three more shots in the next four minutes, but all were either wide or saved by Cahill.
• The Roo's final chance was in the 79^th minute, when a shot needed to be saved by Ireland.
• The Terriers closed out the game 2-0 in a dominant performance.
• The Terriers outshot SUNY Canton 19-10.

 
The Goalkeepers:  
Ireland played the entire 90 minutes in net, making five saves.

SUNY Canton goalkeeper Cahill also played all 90 minutes, making seven saves.

The Terriers will look to continue upon their success against Vermont State University Johnson at home on Sunday, October 8^th, 2023. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM
