Waterville, ME – Women's Soccer put in a dominant performance, and came out with a 2-0 win over SUNY Canton on Saturday, October 7
th, 2023.Â

How it Happened:Â Â
- Within the first 45 seconds, the Terriers had a chance to take the lead. Abbie Lerman's shot was saved by SUNY Canton goalkeeper Emma Cahill.
- The Terriers followed up with two more shots in the next four minutes, none finding the target.
- In the 14th minute, Aminah Davis-Macias's shot hit the crossbar, inches away from finding the back of the net.
- In the 31st minute, Terrier goalkeeper Emilee Ireland was forced to make two saves in a two-minute span, to ensure the score was 0-0 going into halftime.
- In the 56th minute, Davis-Macias finally found the back of the net, to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead.
- 13 Minutes later, Davis-Macias sent in a pass toward goal, and Emily Gutierrez found the finishing touch to grow the lead.
- The Terriers had three more shots in the next four minutes, but all were either wide or saved by Cahill.
- The Roo's final chance was in the 79th minute, when a shot needed to be saved by Ireland.
- The Terriers closed out the game 2-0 in a dominant performance.
- The Terriers outshot SUNY Canton 19-10.

SUNY Canton goalkeeper Cahill also played all 90 minutes, making seven saves.Â
