Box Score Farmington, ME – Men's Soccer dropped a conference rivalry match against University of Maine Farmington 0-1 on Wednesday, October 4^th, 2023. 

Thomas College: Overall (4-4-5), NAC (2-1)
University of Maine Farmington: Overall (5-4-2) NAC (3-0)

How it Happened:  

• The first action of the game came in the 8^th minute, when the Beavers had two shots on goal. The first was blocked, while the other was saved by Terrier goalkeeper Matthew Gosselin.
• In the 17^th minute, a cross found Joshua Joseph, who fired a shot just wide of the Beaver net.
• In the 33^rd minute, Harry Clough's shot forced a save out of Beaver goalkeeper Jackson Leach.
• Neither team could break the deadlock in the first half, going into the break tied at 0-0.
• In the 50^th minute, A pass led to a Beaver shot that found the back of the net to make the score 0-1.
• The Terriers had their best chance to tie things up in the in the 76^th minute. 
• Micky Woodrow took a shot that hit the crossbar, which was inches away from finding the back of the net.
• The Terriers had two corner kicks in the span of 25 seconds in the 87^th minute, but were unable to capitalize.
• The game ended in a 0-1 loss for the Terriers, being outshot 9-5 in a defensive battle.

The Goalkeepers:  

Two Terriers' goalkeepers saw time in net tonight. Gosselin got the start, making one save. Jayce Nielsen played the second half, also making one save.
Beaver goalkeeper Leach played the full 90 minutes, making one save.

The Terriers will look to bounce back as they take on SUNY Canton at home on Saturday, October 7, 2023. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 PM.
