Box Score Farmington, ME – Thomas College Field Hockey traveled to the University of Maine Farmington on Tuesday, October 17
th. The Terriers walked away with a 7-0 win after First Year
Samantha Thebarge scored three goals and Junior
Julia Reny finshed with four.
How it Happened:
- After a slow start the first Terrier goal was scored thirteen minutes into the first half by Thebarge off a penalty corner, she was assisted Eva-Marie Stevens
- Six minutes into the second quarter an identical goal occurs with Thebarge scoring off a penalty corner from Stevens.
- Not even two minutes later Reny scores the Terriers third goal off a penalty stroke.
- Reny then gets her second goal of the game with two minutes left in the second quarter after First Year Kara Richards dumps a ball to her from the top of the circle.
- Theberge's final goal of the day came just before halftime, with an assist from Reny.
- The final two goals from Reny occurred in the third quarter, the first was assisted by Richards, followed by Thebarge assisting the final goal, final score 7-0 Thomas.
The Goalkeepers:
Elise Syphers got the shutout win for the Terriers playing three of the four quarters. She was relieved by
Mackenzie Toner in the fourth quarter who ended the fifteen minutes making two saves.
Beavers' keeper Ella Grant played the full sixty minutes making seventeen saves.
What is Next:
The Terriers will play their final regular season game at home on Saturday, October 21
st at 1pm against NAC opponent Wells College. This will also be the Terriers Senior Day.
