Box Score Waterville, ME – Field Hockey falls in the NAC Conference match up on October 14
th to Husson University 4-2. Terriers Captains
Julia Reny and
Kayci Faulkingham scored the two Thomas goals.
How it Happened:
- The Terriers started the first quarter with early pressure putting up two shots on goal within the first minute, but both were saved by the Eagles goalkeeper.
- The second quarter had few shots and penalty corners for both teams, but two close Husson opportunities gave them the momentum leading into the second half.
- Three Husson players scored three goals in the first seven minutes of the third quarter, bringing the game to a quick 3-0 lead for the Eagles.
- Junior Reny then scored an unassisted goal two minutes after the third Husson goal, bringing the score to 3-1 Husson.
- Before the quarter ended Eagles midfielder Maddie Perkins picked up her second goal of the day, putting the score at 4-1 entering the fourth quarter.
- The second Thomas goal from Faulkingham was scored off a penalty corner, Reny would assist her.
- Thomas would then go on to six penalty corners in the fourth quarter but was unable to get anything by the Eagles defense, final score 4-2 Husson.

Elise Syphers played the full sixty minutes in net and recorded six saves.
First year Husson keeper Maria Levesque got the conference win and made seven saves.
