Men’s Basketball Fails to Close Gap in Second Game Against Lyndon

Box Score Lyndonville, VT- Men's Basketball was unable to finish in game vs Northern Vermont University – Lyndon with a final score of 102-87. Terriers were able to take lead before halftime, but Hornets Peyton Olsen took over second half finding Lyndon the win.

How it Happened:
  • Five minutes in the first half Thomas found themselves down by eight, but with six points from Jacob Bouchard, two from Matthew Hadnot and James Thomas Phelan, tied up the game in four minutes, 20-20
  • After finding themselves down again, the long shot quickly became the way the Terriers found themselves back in the lead, with seven out of fifteen made shots being three's. End of first half, Thomas up 55-54
  • Coming into the second half Lyndon immediately went up and did not stop
  • Thomas kept pushing, but many shots were unable to land in their favor
  • Hadnot came alive in the second half as he got fourteen of his total sixteen points in the second
  • First Year Trey Brown had good opportunities in the second half, but could not get them to finish like they did in the first half
  • Terriers finish the game with Lyndon 102-87
 
Inside the Numbers:
  • Thirty-four points came from Thomas's Reserves
  • Desjardins finished the night leading the Terriers in points with eighteen, he was shortly followed by Phelan with seventeen and sixteen from Hadnot
  • Desjardins also let the team in rebounds with seven, five on defense and two on offense
