How it Happened:
- The Terriers were able to jump out to a quick 10-4 lead five minutes into the first quarter. The Hornets were able bounce back and score nine straight to take the lead into the second.
- The Hornets picked up the intensity and held the Terriers to only three points in a six-minute stretch in the second quarter. The Hornets were able to pull away and not look back, scoring nine straight points in that time.
- The third quarter was a defensive masterclass from the Terriers, who began by scoring six straight points, thanks to Fortin (10) and Elena Alderman (20). The Terriers held the Hornets to only four points from open play in the quarter, a very impressive feat. The Terriers also forced five turnovers during this time.
- The Hornets were able to shoot 61% from the field in the fourth quarter, including 50% from three to put the game to rest, with the final score ending at 41-68 in favor of the Hornets.
