Nielsen and Terrier Defense Keeps Cross-Town Rival to a 2-0 Loss

Box Score Waterville, ME - A combination of strong defense and great saves from Goalkeeper Jayce Nielsen keeps the cross-town rival with Colby College to a 2-0 loss for the Terriers.  
 
The Records:
Thomas College (1-2)
Colby College (1-0)
 
How it Happened:
  • Both the Terriers and the Mules had a shot on goal within the first six minutes
  • It wasn't until the twentieth minute the Mules went up 1-0
  • The Terriers went on to make 7 saves, 5 being from Nielsen
  • Six more shots were saved in the second half by the Terriers while Colby went up 2-0 with fourteen minutes left in the game
 
Goalkeepers:
Playing the full ninety minutes Thomas College's Jayce Nielsen finished the night with 10 saves, three of those came in a back-to-back-to-back fashion.
Mules Goalkeepers Brendan McCarthy received the win recording 1 save in the game
