Auburn, ME – Men's Ice Hockey traveled to Auburn to face off against conference rival Central Maine Community College Mustangs. The Terriers were able to walk away with the 4-3 victory against the undefeated CMCC team.
How it Happened:
- The Terrier's jumped to an early first period lead by Cameron Tower
- Penalties plagued them shortly after as they surrendered consecutive power play goals and trailed 2-1 after the first period.
- The second period was very physical, and the Mustangs seemed to control the play for the first 10 minutes, however goaltender Miloslav Fuksa stood strong
- With 5 minutes remaining Nick Fischetto found Ryan Kappelmann for the tying goal sending both teams to the locker room tied 2-2.
- Thomas came out quick in the 3rd period as Fischetto scored on the Terrier's first shift making it 3-2.
- Jacob Davis added to the lead minutes later making it 4-2.
- The Mustangs made it 4-3 midway through the 3rd
Coach Joey Waraskevich commented after the game that despite there being some excellent individual efforts, it was a total team contribution that got them the win. Countless blocked shots, a commitment to back checking and overall discipline was evident throughout the game. Goaltender Fuksa was remarkable in goal, despite battling through some fatigue late in the 3rd period.

The Terriers will go across town and start the "Battle of the Ville" three game series with rival club, Colby College.
