Box Score Waterville, ME – The Terriers had the up on the Raiders from minute seventeen and never let off the gas, giving them their first 2022-2023 season win, with a score of 87-80. Solid defense and pure selfishness gave the Terriers what they have been missing. This also gave Head Coach
Marquis Mason-Pollards his first win at a collegiate head coach.

How it Happened:
- The Raiders were the first to get on the board for the night, but all five starters for the Terriers did not that last long all playing huge roles in making both two's, three's and free throws, but also defensive rebounds
- Sawyer stayed his constant and steady self, providing may drives to the baskets for successful layups in the first as well as draining some three's
- First Year James Thomas Phelan came alive for the Terriers bringing in ten consecutive points starting at the ten-minute mark
- Terriers went into halftime up 37-30
- The second half was really when the gas got turned up for the Terriers, with fast breaks and strong defensive presses
- Senior Matthew Hadnot was a persistent force throughout the whole game, but was able to land 14 points himself in the second half.
- Phelan was able to find Hadnot three separate times when dishing the ball, grabbing six easy points for the Terriers
- Parker Desjardins made the final point for the Terrier with a made free throw at fourteen seconds, putting the nail in the coffin, final score 87-80
Inside the Numbers:
- The Terriers were able to get twenty-four points off of turnovers from the Raiders
- Seventeen of their points came from fast breaks
- Hadnot had a career high game, finishing the night with twenty-three points
- Desjardins was right behind him finishing with nineteen and ten rebounds
- The Terriers also had their season high in field goal points, finishing the night at 58.8%, as well as three point shots finishing at 42.9%
