Augusta, ME – In tough match up the Terriers fall to Saint Joseph's of Maine in first game of the season 6-5. In a back in fourth game, Thomas tried to tie up the score in the last few minutes but was unsuccessful.

How it Happened:
- The Terriers started off, putting in their first goal in the first five minutes of the game from Graduate Student Sean Coleman, assisted by Ryan Kappelmann and Cameron Bigelow
- The Monks responded with two goals within a minute of each other, finishing out the first period 2-1, St. Joe's
- Thomas was able to tie the game five minutes into the second period with a goal by Graduate Student Hunter Hughes, assisted by DJ Cagnina and Ryan Kimball
- Allowing the Terriers to lead once again was Cagnina scoring his own goal ten minutes after his assist, Kappelmann and Coleman assisted, 3-2 score ending the second period
- The Monks tied the game up once again, this time two minutes into the third period
- Not even a minute later Junior Dylan Fortier responded giving the Terriers the lead once again, 4-3
- Monks fourth goal was then scored with fifteen minutes remaining in the game
- First Year Nicholas Fischetto scored his first collegiate goal, making the score 5-4 Thomas
- St. Joe's then went on to sink their fifth of the night with eight minutes remaining, tying the score 5-5
- The last goal scored by the Monks was in the last three minutes of the game
Goalkeepers:
Terriers Miloslav (Gaston) Fuksa recorded a total of 39 saves, 21 of those being in the third period.
Monks Jared McLaughlin had a total of 32 saves for the night.
