Men’s Soccer Ends in a Deadlock with University of Southern Maine

Box Score Waterville, ME – In a back-and-forth match between the Terriers and Huskies they end with a score of 0-0. In combination of both teams, for this game, the shots on goal did not exceed more than ten, three for the Terriers and four for the Huskies.
 
The Records:
Thomas College: Overall (6-5-4), NAC (4-1-3)
University of Southern Maine: Overall (4-4-7), LEC (0-3-3)
 
How it Happened:
  • The first shot on goal of the game came from the Huskies eleven minutes into the game
  • It wasn't long until the Terriers Joshua Joseph answered back but was unable to find the net
  • The Huskies controlled the ball most game with controlled transfer passing, but the Terriers defense stayed strong, ultimately forcing the Huskies to fall away from that type of play
  • Both teams battled in the last minutes of the game with opportunities from both ends, but both finished up empty handed
 
The Goalkeepers:
Terriers Jayce Nielsen started in net and played the full ninety minutes making a total of four saves.
Hayes Estrella was in goal for the Huskies and recorded a total of three goals.
 
What is Next:
The Terriers will take on University of Maine Farmington this Saturday, October 22nd at 1pm. This will also be the teams Senior Day, as they celebrate their four seniors.
