CANTON, N.Y. - The Thomas College Men's Soccer team (5-1) earned their third North Atlantic Conference victory of the season over SUNY-Canton, by a score of 4-2.
Canton jumped out to an early lead over the Terriers, in the 17th minute with a goal from Ellis Sanchez.
Eric LaBrie (Yarmouth, Maine) responded to the challenge with an unassisted goal for the Terriers and tied the match at 1-1, in the 41st minute.
Nicholas Garcia (Kingston, Mass. ) followed with a second goal just two minutes later to give Thomas a one goal lead at the half, 2-1.
The Terriers started the second half strong, and
Princiel Kunieki (Portland, Maine) helped them extend their lead to 3-1 from beautiful cross by
Joshua Joseph (Devonshire, Bermuda ) in the 47th minute. Forty-four seconds later,
Zenawi Bowen (St. George's, Bermuda) scored the final goal for Thomas and stretched their lead to 4-1. Canton was able to find the goal one more time but was unable to mount a comeback, ending the game in a 4-2 win for Thomas.
Jonathan LeClair (Belmont, N.H.) played an outstanding ninety minutes in goal for Thomas, facing ten shots and helping the Terrier's earn their third consecutive North Atlantic Conference victory.
