BASE: Thomas Drops Two NAC Games to Lyndon

LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – The Thomas College baseball team dropped a pair of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) games to NVU-Lyndon on Saturday afternoon.

GAME 1 – NVU-Lyndon 2, Thomas 0
The Hornets got on the board in the first, then added another in the third to take the 2-0 lead, which was all they would need. Thomas had their best scoring opportunity in the top of the fifth, getting runners on first and second with no outs. They were able to get a runner to third but couldn't get one across and went without a run in the inning.

Ryan Scepansky (Blandon, Pa.) went six innings, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out four and took the loss.

GAME 2 – NVU-Lyndon 6, Thomas 2
After a scoreless three innings, Lyndon broke the game open with six runs in the fourth inning. Thomas answered right away, chipping away at the lead with a two-run home run by Kyle Gleason (Danville, N.H.) making it 6-2. The Terriers were unable to get anything else going in the final two innings and fell 6-2.

Nicholas Howard (Vassalboro, Maine) took the loss for Thomas, allowing six runs, two earned, on seven hits in 3.2 innings of work. Hunter Glowa (Mount Vernon, Maine) was effective in relief, pitching a scoreless 2.1 innings, allowing just three hits.
