WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College women's lacrosse team fell to Saint Joseph's College 16-3 on Saturday at Bernatchez Field.
Saint Joseph's jumped to a six-goal lead before
Autumn Howe (Merrimack, N.H.) ended the Monk's scoring run with an unassisted goal at 16:12, bringing the score to 6-1. Saint Joseph's scored two additional goals but Thomas quickly responded with two goals from Taylor Rodriquez (Winslow, Maine) at 4:59 and
Mackenzie Driscoll (North Andover, Mass.) at 3:16. The Terriers cut the score down to 8-3 and began to build momentum late in the half. The Monks recaptured the momentum with a goal in the final minute of the half and increased their lead to 9-3 at the break.Â
The Monks scored seven unanswered goals in the second half to secure the 16-3 victory.
Arianna Cannistraro (Waltham, Mass.) took the loss in goal for Thomas, allowing 16 goals on 28 shots on goal.

Nikki Bradstreet (Topsham, Maine) and Cannistraro were honored for playing in their final regular season home game.
