BANGOR, Maine – The Thomas College men's lacrosse team fell to Husson University 16-10 on Saturday afternoon in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest.
Max Irons (Limerick, Maine) opened the game for Thomas with a goal 1:27 into the game. Husson took control from there, scoring seven unanswered in the first and five more in the second to take a 12-1 advantage going into halftime.
Daniel MacWhinnie (Lanesborough, Mass.) got Thomas back on track in the third, scoring 44 seconds in. The teams traded goals through the rest of the quarter, with
William Trippe (Charleston, S.C.) and Irons scoring for the Terriers as Husson took a 14-4 lead into the fourth.
Thomas outscored Husson 5-2 in the final period, including a pair from
Mathew Crisco (North Haven, Conn.) and Irons, but Husson walked away with the 16-10 victory.
Patrick Buxton (Portland, Maine) took the loss in net for Thomas, allowing 12 goals on 17 shots in the first half.
Daniel Guarino (Wakefield, Mass.) made 11 saves on 15 shots in the second half between the pipes.

Thomas will travel to NVU-Lyndon on Sunday, April 18 for a NAC contest at 2:00 PM.
