Box Score STOWE, Vt. – The Thomas College women's tennis team fell to Northern Vermont University-Johnson 7-2 in their first North Atlantic Conference (NAC) match of the season on Sunday.

Lauren Smith (Waterville, Maine) and Kiara Goggin (West Gardiner, Maine) took the first doubled flight to a 7-7 tie breaker, but fell short, 10-8. Jaden Cummings (Ellsworth, Maine) and Magan Williams (Oakland, Maine) battled in second doubles, falling 8-6. Johnson took the final doubles by default to hold a 3-0 advantage.

Goggin picked up her first career win in the top singles position, winning straight 6-2 sets. Smith also picked up her first career win at third singles, winning tiebreaker sets 10-4, 11-9.  The Terriers dropped the other singles flights to fall by the score of 7-2.
