Ice Hockey delivers their best performance of the season against Colby-Sawyer

PROCTOR, N.H. – The Thomas College Men's Ice Hockey team earned their first victory of the season over Colby-Sawyer College at Proctor Arena on Saturday, 5-2. 

Colby-Sawyer took an early one-goal lead within the first two minutes of the first period. The Terriers responded by scoring two goals, Darren Cagnina (South Berwick, Maine) scored the first goal just after twelfth minute and Luke Staples (Middleton, R.I.) scored the second goal inside the sixth minute to give Thomas the lead. The Chargers scored again to tie the game at 2-2 with just under two-minutes remaining in the period.  

The Terriers dominated the second period of play. Darren Cagnina (South Berwick, Maine)scored his second goal of the game halfway through the second period to put Thomas ahead of Colby-Sawyer 3-2, and Keagan Rodrigue (Auburn, Maine) found the goal shortly after to extend the lead to 4-2.  

Thomas successfully held their lead throughout the third period, and Dylan Fortier (Milford, Conn.) scored a late period goal to seal the win for the Terriers, 5-2.  

Miloslav Fuksa (Karlovy, Czech Republic) had another outstanding performance in goal and was credited with the win. 

The Terriers will return to the Camden National Bank Ice Vault to take on the Wentworth Institute of Technology on Sunday, November 21.
