BANGOR, Maine - Men's Soccer (10-5) season came to an end with a 3-1 loss to the University of Maine - Farmington in the quarterfinals of the North Atlantic Conference Championship at Husson University.
The Terriers came into the match having beaten the Beavers on the road exactly one week before in their final regular season conference game. UMaine Farmington used the loss as motivation and it showed from the first whistle.
Cade McHugh found the back of the net in the 21st minute to give the Beavers the early 1-0 lead.
Zenawi Bowen (St. George's, Bermuda) tied the game up seven minutes later for the Terriers. Neither team was able to score again in the first half.
It wasn't until the 76th minute that Farmington's Yusuf Mohamed was able to score the game winning goal. Gracien Mukwa added an insurance goal 11 minutes later, putting the game out of reach for Thomas.
