HANOVER, N.H. – The Thomas College Men's Ice Hockey team fell to the Dartmouth College Big Green at Rupert C. Thompson Arena on Friday night, 1-0.
The Terriers had three power play opportunities, but they were able to score after the first period of play and the game was scoreless headed into the first intermission, 0-0.
The second period was exciting from end to end. Goaltender Miloslav Fuksa (Karlovy, Czech Republic) successfully killed two penalties for Thomas. The game remained scoreless after two periods.
The Terriers started the third period strong, but Dartmouth jumped to a 1-0 lead in the middle of the period. Thomas increased their physical play and desperately worked to generate some offense. The Terriers were unable to convert two power plays into points, but successfully killed six total penalty minutes. The Big Green held on to their lead and the final score was 1-0.
The Terriers will next travel to the Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida to play a two-game series against Florida Gulf Coast University on Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13.
