Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College women's basketball team fell to St. Joseph's College 62-52 in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon at Larry Mahaney Gymnasium.
Malorie Weaver (Palermo, Maine) led the way for Thomas, scoring a career-high 20 points along with six rebounds. Karli Stubbs (Auburn, Maine) shot 4-8 (50%) from three-point range and scored 14 points with four rebounds and two assists.
After scoring six unanswered to separate themselves 19-11 after one, the Monks kept on the gas, outscoring the Terriers 15-6 in the second quarter to go into the intermission with a commanding 50-28 lead.
St. Joe's kept their distance in the third, before Thomas turned it on in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Monks 24-12 to cut the final score to 62-52.
Thomas will return from the semester break on Saturday, January 4 when they travel to Colby-Sawyer for a 1:00 PM game.
