JOHNSON, Vt. – The Thomas College women's basketball team defeated Northern Vermont University-Johnson 51-40 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest on Friday evening.

The teams traded baskets through the first quarter and went into the second tied 9-9. Johnson was able to take control in the second frame with a 10-2 run that made it 19-12 with two minutes left in the half. The Terriers chipped away to close out the half down just 23-20.

After another back-and-forth third quarter, the Terriers were able to regain the lead and hold a 35-33 lead heading into the final quarter. Thomas pulled away in the fourth, outscoring the Badgers 16-7 to that the 51-40 win.

Molly Horton (Brownington, Vt.) scored 12 points while pulling in eight rebounds to lead the Terriers. Molly Carroll (Southwest Harbor, Maine) added 10 points and five boards.
