Box Score WATERVILLE, ME – The Thomas College women's basketball team fell to the University of Maine at Fort Kent on Sunday by a score of 69-41. Katie McAllister had a team-high 12 points for the Terriers in the loss.
Thomas (1-8) trailed early into halftime 29-12, struggling offensively only shooting 5 for 30 (16.7%) from the floor while UMFK shot a respective 12-34 (35.3%).
The Terriers received even contribution from many players; McAllister led with 12 points while freshman Olivia Brown and sophomore Sarah Pepin chipped in with 8 points each. Sophomore Tess McClenahan finished with a team-high 9 rebounds and also added 7 points in defeat.
Ericka Saucier led the way for the Bengals, scoring a game high 16 points while pulling down another game high 10 rebounds for a double-double. Teammate Bobbi Myles added 14 points and 5 rebounds off the bench for UMFK.
The Bengals had a 54-34 advantage on the glass, which allowed them to generate 19 second chance points on the afternoon.
Thomas will be back in action at home on Tuesday, January 6 of the New Year following a holiday break against University of Maine at Farmington with a scheduled 5:30pm tip-off.
