Thomas Stumbles 84-36 Versus New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. - The Thomas men's basketball team could not find a way to stay close with Division I opponent New Hampshire, as they were defeated 84-36 this evening at Lundholm Gymnasium. Junior Levi Barnes led the team for the third straight game with 12 points.

The Wildcats took control of the game by getting to the foul line and dominating the glass, as they overwhelmed the Terriers by converting 24 of 33 from the line on the night, and owning the rebounding edge 51-24, limiting Thomas to only three offensive boards. 

All 11 players who entered the game scored for UNH, a they shot 28 of 48 (48.3%) from the field, while the Terriers struggled to making just 15 out of 54 (27.8%) shots attempted. The Wildcats were led by three players off the bench in scoring, as John Edwards and Frank Okeke each put in 12, while Ronnel Jordan added 11.

Barnes made six of his 13 shots on the night to get his team-high 12 points, and senior Eric Westbrooks was second on the team with eight points, and added three rebounds, two assists and one steal. All 17 players on the roster saw action for the Terriers.

The men's basketball team will be looking to rebound as the will head to Regis College to play in the Regis Invitational Moe's Queso Classic, starting Friday with Regis at 5pm.
